I don't know how many of you know that my last child has
Downs Syndrome. it was a shock and a life changing experience. but that is not what this post is about
He Has an eating problem.. since about 3 months after birth he had a feeding tube in his stomach. So we had to feed him directly to his belly, a bit unnerving at the begining but we all got used to it.
as he grew he gradually began eating more, but not enough to sustain himself. the Neighborhood protected him and thought nothing of it.. all the kids protected him when he was at the park or in the neighborhood..it was great to see
Well ,, at the end of last month he was eating enough to take out the feeding tube...

The good news is, as I'm sure you know, individuals with Downs Syndrome can lead full and happy lives with the right support.
I guess this is a pretty big step in the right direction, so I'm really pleased for you.
:)
