Old is 58 and only ONE person in your family even says Happy B-day to you. :( No presents, no cake, no cards. Nothing. *sniff* :?
(But Bats and Stef sure told me!! hehehe
I didn't know you had a birthday so close to mine, dear!! Happy B-day from one Cancer to another. My sun sign is a Leo, what's yours? :D )

Hmm....sun sign? Not sure. How do you determine that?
And happy belated b-day darlin'!
I had a surprise party thrown for me. Affie and another couple pretended like we were going to go to this restaraunt in D.C. She said her cousin had VIP tickets and we had to stop by his house to pick them up. Eveyone played their role to perfection. Then we went up to the house and of course my friend opened the door.
Big party. Lots of BBQ, lots of drinking. Actually they destroyed me with drinks. I ended up passed out on the couch and someone stuff a Dorito in my ear! :(
Good times!

Well, you can either have a friend into astrology, pay to have an astrologicial chart done OR have someone else pay to have it done. Either way, it all boils down to astrology. ::giggles::
I can't remember who but, in my salad days, one was done for me and the best I can recall out of it is that my "sun sign" was in Leo. Hence the driving secret need to twinkle toes across the stage!! Did I say that? No... no I didn't!! And I'll continue to deny it too! Heh.
And thanks for the late b-day greetings. :D As it is, you join the ranks of the others who share my birthday month: Richard (my husband), Craig (our permanent weekend house guest), John (our permanent housemate), his daughter, Lily, and, now, YOU!!! :D
Now if I could just get you all together for a BBQ in MY back yard... hehehhehehe

It all depends on the position of the planets/signs when you were born. I was born at 2.24am and the sign that was rising at the horizon was Taurus - thus, my rising sign is Taurus. I think if you enter your time of birth into yahoo.co.uk horoscopes it will give you your rising sign.
Its quite an influence on how you behave I think.

Hmmm...maybe my rising sign is more fortuitous than my regular sign. I hate being a Cancer. It's always, 'you're so compassionate! people should come to you with their problems'. I don't want to hear everyone's whiney sob stories!!
What the sign that says 'You are a dick. Everyone should tell you to feck off and leave you alone.'

I don't believe in astrology, per se, as a means to predicting your fate, let alone your future. However, after a bit of study of the basic attributes of each sign, I do have to admit that the charts have a way of hitting personalities on a broad nail-head. :)
I was a Cancer raised by a Piscean mother, Sagittarian Father, with another Cancer older-brother, Capricorn younger-sister and an Aries younger-brother. I first married another Piscean, whom I eventually divorced, after producing a Virgo/Libra daughter. My second marriage, of nearly 22 yrs., is to another Cancer. This last union produced a Taurian son. I also have a Capricorn granddaughter.
I find that getting more into the sun/moon/rising signs can give you more details about a person but it takes more time and devotion to the study of the stars than I care to dabble in. As it is, I'm a firm believer that your environment can often color who you are just as easily as your birth signs. However, even a passing knowledge will often give you insights into others and it's just plain fun to see if those astrologers are even half way right. :D

I don't look to the stars for advice either Trish. It's all a bit hokey if you ask me.
I go with fortune cookies!
