Vincent took one step from the curb of the corner market, Groceries in arm; He breathed in the dirty metropolis air. Things were very different in this city. He had never been around so many kindred…not in at least six hundred years. He did not know how to act around Vampires, but he got along quite well with mortals. The Groceries you ask? He was shopping for his Hired man, who was human…was that against the so-called "Masquerade"? Vincent did not care; Julius was not only Vince's hired man, but also his friend.

Although Vincent had a limousine and a Cadillac he preferred to walk, it was more efficient that was. Vincent looked around the streets at the various children of Seth. Each member of society played his or her role, whether large or minute. "How things have changed in three hundred years, some people would say for the better, but in some ways we have de-evolved… chivalry is dead…and perhaps God is not top priority in this day in age…" He often thought out loud while on long walks home.

He noticed one particular group of teenagers, they were dressed in all black and sporting upside-down crosses…and the mark of the devil, and this infuriated Vincent. "Children! Excuse me." They turned and immediately laughed at the well-dressed man.

"Looks boys, It’s the president himself!" the group laughed and grimaced Vincent.

With a smile across his face he spoke to the group all the while noticing their auras, which were initially black…depression…"I Notice you take interest in hell…do you wish to one day end up there? Believe me children, hell is not a particularly hospitable place, especially for little children." He looked up to the dark sky "heaven on the other hand…Is most hospitable, and the woman they're…perfect. All that’s made illegal here, In heaven is not, anything you're into…well almost everything…is allowable. Heaven ain't hard to find either…all you have to do is look, you need not be a saint, just do what you consider to be Right, and have Faith…or hope…do not have fear. Because even the devout lose faith at time…I know you got a lot of questions on your mind but relax…in due time. " All the while through his speech, the children mocked him…until he mentioned women…that was the ice breaker. There their auras turned green, intrigued, all except one who's turned pink…anger…some are to far gone to be saved by the children of Cain, that poor soul need save himself. Before the children could respond, Vincent turned and walked away, grocery's in hand.

Vincent hope he swayed the children's path a bit, *take the evil out the people they be actin right*. Soon Vincent passed a graveyard, a ways in a woman wept at a grave; Vincent walked over to her. He aura was brown, sorrowful." Miss It is all right…" He rested his hand on her shoulder. "He is truly in a better place…I have seen many pass in my lifetime…more than any one man should…and every time it is still as hard as the first. You know he watches over you…even now. He will do what he can to help you along your life…but from where he is his power is limited. It is your job to stay strong and overcome all obstacles in your way, life a long life, do what you think is the right thing and you will see your husband in the next life." She looked up at him; tears ran down her face.

"Who are you?" she wiped the tears from her eyes. He smiled at her. Her aura had turned blue, Happy and understanding.
"It is not important. Live your life and be happy." he turned and walked from the cemetery, she called out to him, but he continued walking grocery's in arm.

An hour passed before he reached his Medium sized manor within downtown Cascadia. He opened his large gates and walked up the long granite driveway, hands brushing the side of his Cadillac as he passed it. He reached his door noticed the roses. Their blooms closed at night, Vincent wondered if he would ever see another open rose again. It didn’t truly matter to him. It was just a bit frustrating. He entered the house and put the groceries away. Julius was asleep, the sun would be up soon and he would wake up, but for now Vincent needed to, tomorrow he would venture out again perhaps he would meet this Batgirl? In any event, he hoped he would never see the Prince again…Evil lingered around him…

May Cappadocious continue to watch over his Progeny from the right hand of God.
