Randall had spent the greater part of three days arranging the extensive library into a banquet hall. The floor had to relaid, preventing spill damage to the exquisite rugs. The lighting arranged, mostly replaced by vast candelabras and chandeliers. The work had proven expensive both financially and physically, luckily Tanos had the funds. He had selected not only the beverages, but had an extensive part in the choice of fine meat cuts. The feast would be predominantly meats, ranging from venison to human. Cooked to perfection still retaining the lustre and bloodiness of it's donors.
Tanos paced the hall, as the final arrangements were made. He and Prince Valek would hold opposite heads on the vast table.

As he waited a serf came in, almost dropping the unusually verdi gris gold finished bottle he carried, Tanos's eyes flared red...

"Damnit! Holdson! If you drop that foetal vitae I'll replace it with the blood of your own children!"

Holdson stammered.

"Yes lord, forgive me."

He set the rare vitae on the table to "warm" and went about the remainder of his duties.

Tanos sighed, sipping the goblet of blood Randall had left for him.

"Ahh excellent Randall. Now let the feasting begin."

Randall bowed low before retreating out of the room. Tanos followed shortly afterwards, sipping the blood as he retired to his chamber to await his esteemed guests.

After replying and accepting the invitation of Mr.Tanos Valek got out of his haven going to meet this kindred ....


-An hour later-

Valek arrived at the residence of Mr.Tanos

He walked up the entrance stairs and slowly knocked 6 times on the door ... waiting ..

Walks to the door, waiting with Valek, staying silent, not looking to him as she knocked on the door softly.

The door opened, it was Randall, he opened the door, letting them in.

A loud rap is heard on the door as her bony hand knocks. She smiles to herself as she waits.
A tall dignified man answers the door. She smiles ghoulishly at him and says, "I'm here to speak with Lord Tanos."
He gestures for her to come inside, her alien features still hidden. She walks in, the hard leather of her souls hitting the hard wood sends a gentle tapping sound through the hallway. He escorts her to a quaint drawing room.
"Wait here. He'll be with you in just a minute.", he says graciously.
She looks around and notices the bookshelf. She looks at the numerous tomes, and lets a bony finger trail down one that says "Grey's Anatomy". She smiles evilly as she hears the door open behind her.
She turns around and sees Tanos.
"Hello, brother.", she says warmly, "I hope you don't mind my intrusion, but I thought I'd come by and let you know I was in town."
She walks over to Tanos and offers her hand.
"I have much to teach you my protege."

Tanos' face flashed with the canverous shimmer that was rapidly becoming habit. As Randall entered the room he bowed as Tanos stood, himself bowing his head as Valek walked in.

"Ahhhh Lord Valek, it is good to meet you at last. I trust you were well received by Randall?"

"Well to be blunt Tanos, his manners could use a little refreshment."

Tanos' eyes turned vermilion, the glow sending Randall scurrying for two goblets and the bottle of foetal vitae. He quickly returned, the blood swirling slightly from the frantic movements.

He went to offer his master a glass first.

"No fool! When guests are in my home you will ALWAYS serve them first!"

Valek grinned, the tone and aura of cruelty warming him already to this olde worlde stranger.

They walked into the drawing room, a blazing fire warming the room as they drank. Tanos thanked him for coming.

As he opened the room door the figure in front of him made his eyes flare in surprise. Valek looked on stupefied....

"Ekaterina? You're here?"

"Of course I'm here.", she said with a ghoulish grin, luckily covered by her headwear, "I wouldn't miss it for the world... A chance for dinner with my new protege."
She walks over and offers Tanos her hand. He takes it and kisses the back of her gloved hand. He notices the bone spikes showing slightly through the glove. He looks up at her face and notices beneath the shadows her alien features. He smiles realizing that he had found the right person.
"And who might this be?", she asks gesturing towards Valek, checking to see if anyone can see what she really looks like.

Valek looked carefully at the two of them and smirked,he awaited for Tanos to speak again ..

"Oh, I see the silent type.", she says with great sarcasm.
She laughs and waits for someone to speak.

"You do realize, sir, that you are being rude, right?", she says looking Valek straight in the eye, "Rudeness is one thing I can't abide."
She stares deep into his soul. She sees something in him that's intimidated by the fact she's not showing her face. She smiles to herself.
"::laughing:: This is something I haven't seen in a long time. I think I'm really going to enjoy this.", she thinks.
She looks over to Tanos and asks,"Do you think I could make myself more comfortable?"

Tanos looked nervous as the Prince shared glances with his clan-sister.

"If my own sister cannot feel comfortable in my own home I will be greatly offended. Now please dear Ekaterina, loosen your vestments. You are at home here."

"This dear sister is my honoured guest, the Prince of this city. Valek. I trust when you are both in my home you will treat each other with the respect I forward you both?"

Tanos smiled, his eyes underlying his true feelings. The "cancer smile" he wore added to the broken facade. He turned pouring a glass of vitae for his sister.

"To friends and family." Raising his glass he drank deeply, trying to drown the irritation in his voice.

Valek looked uneasy, although Tanos couldn't place if it was from Ekaterina's choice of words or her appearance. He felt his brow thicken as he finally unwound, his eyes reverting to their crimson glare as his face took on a leaden reptilian outline. His hair now encapsulated by twin ridges of cerrated scales.

"Please let us be friends, the others should arrive soon enough."

Ekaterina takes off her last glove and sets it on top of her shawl that she had covering her head. She picks up the glass of vitae and holds it between her bone covered fingers. She adjusts the hair around her crown of bone barbs. She smiles and takes a sip. the light plays against the bons sticking out of her face, that seems to accent all of her facial features.
"You need not worry about my conduct, Tanos. Besides, your starting to look better already.", she says with a ghoulish smile.
She looks at the prince. She looks him up and down.
"Your, the prince. Funny, I was expecting a Ventrue.", she says with a light tone.
"But I see that the redwood is still placed firmly up the ass. God, I'm glad I don't have to bend to there rules.", she thinks and laughs to herself.
She takes another sip from the glass and walks around the room and looks at the decor.
"You've done very well for yourself. Almost like my mentor. I haven't seen the home of a Voivode since.", she comments and smiles at Tanos in approval.
He looks at her, glad for her approval.
"I hope to see the other parts of your abode later.", she says sitting down on a couch and looking to the prince.
"You have a name, right?"

Tonight is that night, that night for which he will venture out and meet others, a night of education and understanding.


He had acquired a tuxedo for the occasion, a nice black tuxedo, with a red tie. His long slick black hair was tied back in its usual fashion [pulled back and tied with a red twist tie and down his back (a little farther than his shoulders)] He had shined his boots [thy are dress style boots.] and ironed and pressed his pants and tuxedo. he looked over all nice and decent, on his right ring finger he bore a Ring of the Celtic Isle, a mesh of gold and silver with an emerald in the center of the cross.
In his rightbreast pocket he had a blood red rose. He was confident.


He walked to the building-for he didnt have an automobile. [mansion right?] He entered the large gates and made his way up the long walkway. He Used the large door knocker, [3 knocks]. he awaited patiently for the butler to open the door.


(told you id be here no? again this isnt rofellos's normal style but banquets are different than clubs or bars and he Would go to a banquet. >=-) now im just awaiting the doorman. :smile:
