Batgirl ignored the comment as she hung her freshly washed but wet clothes over various doors. Until they were dry she would have to stay wrapped in the bath towel.

"What are we going to do about that sword? It seems that no matter what we do, it attracts the attention of the Garou... is this how you want to spend the rest of your unlife - running from Garou?" she directed the question to Thorp and waited for a response.

((just a short one from me, I'm too stuffed from a huge Saturday night out to write anymore ::got home at 6pm sunday:: *woot*

: Stepped into his haven, tired and hungery. He grabbed a few rats from the cage and bit into their bellies sucking the life juice from them with eager fulfillment. He went into his office and turned of several monaters. The lights were on by the survalience cameras showing that they were recording. He hit the keyboard buttons to bring up the tralier. split the screen down to show the place from 4 differnt angles. Batty was washing up slowly in the shower singing something in Latain.

(( look i see the batty boobies))(( sorry i don't mean to offend but  ))

The other 2 were talking over how exactily to get the Zoo deal worked out.
Drain got up and headed for his nook to get some much needed rest. the large coffin was in the room and had a lifesized version of him sleeping in it at all times. It was set to explode if a stake was driven into it. Drain closed the secret door to his real resting place and closed his eyes for what felt like the ten millionth time.

Graventhorp completely removed his sunglasses, exposing his beast-like eyes, and deposited them in their usual place in his coat's inside pocket.
"well, Lupus isn't the only thingt hat attracted those damned lupines," he pointed out, singaling to Gabe's forehead with his own head, "and yes and no to yer question. Back in the days when I was a regualr forest mutt, garou weren't that much of a threat, ya could walk onto some every now and then, but being Gangrel, a small fight, just to showyou weren't scared (even if ya were), and running away would do, they wouldn't chase us. But later on they became a big problem...but that's a whole 'nother story, and I don't wanna talk about it right now." Thorp rubbed his tongue against hsi mouth roof, it felt like metal, painful memories did that to him.
Batgirl seemed to be curious, but got it and stopped asking.
Gabriel was still sitting on the couch, a thoughtful expression on his face.
"Ya still thinking about the zoo buisnees, Gabe?" The City Gangrel was eager to kill the awkard silence.
"uh-huh. Still wondering if the owner would accept a bribe.."
"Well, if he doesn't, we can use other methods, if you know what I mean." Batgirl added, a glint in her eyes. Thorp could barely imagine what was going on the Cappadocian's twisted mind. The things she would be glad to do to the mortal..
"Hope we do not need to get to those measures." Gabe sighed. "And now, if you will excuse me, I will take a shower myself."
Thorp smiled and muttered "Fuckin' Sissy." Not sure if the Ventrue heard him or not.
He snatched another look at Batgirl's exposed legs, almost robbing the glance as a shoplifter may quickly and stealthily take a small but fairly valuable item and tuck it into his coat, smiled and chugged another can.

:the next morning while he was going over the tapes of the preceiding night, The Primogen was on the phone lineing up a secure ride to the big apple. He wanted no one to know of his goings or what he was plannig so that left the minuite details up to him. A boat ride to the city would be good enoutgh.
Drain choose NY becauase of their hostilites towrds the cascadian population, and because it had a large underground vault filled with secret knowledge. The vault was well hidden, and was thought by most to be only a myth, But the nosferatu have was of getting the truth. Drain knew of its existance but not of its location. Luck really was what he was going on.

Drain took along some brujah for strength. But The whole party came up empty when nothing was found in the sewers besides some renagade Giovanni hideing out from the wraith of the prince. Drain thought of a new approach, He began a search for the cappadotions, which after much leg work he found.

Leaning against a post in the dockarea was the Ugliest and smelliest Cappa Drain had ever seen.
:grin:rain smiled
:Valek almost laughed

The two waited for help to fly in from the cascadia. Gabe exited th plane and followed the instructions that Drain had hastiely given him. When he got to the location on the map Gabe became quite upset at Drains manipulations of again makingine him work arm in arm withe Valek...

the 4 left to save a woman cappa who was being held by the Goivanni. Valek and Drain both came up with the same direction to take the investigation at around the same time. After much fighting and almost entering finnal death the Vampires rescued the girl and Drain stole a book from the Giovanni. The book had much information about cappadotion spells. and the Girl had seen the sword of Graventhroup. Both turned out to be of much value.
the sword it turned out was crafted by Cappadotion magic(( i think if i got the story right))

(( ok this is a summery of a game that i played in about 3 months ago. The details are very schechy and i know i forgot a lot of important things...... but i never told anyone that i could write stories. Only half assed role play lololololol

The moon hung at the starry night like a bright lightbulb, illuminating the night in an eerie almost ghastly shine.
Graventhorp of Locksley, altough it had been centuries since anyone had ever called him that, walked down a transited Cascadian sidewalk, concealing his claw-like fingernails by closing his fists as he walked, concealing, also his wolf-like eyes with his usual pair of sunglasses and keeping his mouth as closed as possible so his unstealthy fangs wouldn't show. It seemed that every single day that creeped by it was tougher for Thorp to blend in with mortals, his animalistic features accentuated every time he used any Protean discipline, and mortals noticed no matter how hard Thorp tried.
He let out a relieved sigh when he finally got to the hidden dead-end alley, and turned entering it. He removed the sewer lid in the middle of the alley and jumped down, landing with a small splash some feet below. He had an appointment with Drain, Nosferatu Primogen, and was not willing to be late.
He walked less than thirty feet when a Nosferatu seemed to slide into this wolrd, making himself visible.
"He is waiting for you, please follow me."

The City Gangrel remove dhis sunglasses when he entered the huge room that housed Drain's throne, with held the Nosferatu Primogen himself.
"Ahhh, Graventhorp, good to see you again. I'm sorry if I don't offer useless chatter, but I need to stick to a busy schedule, you see..." Drain's voice rose over the echoing sewers sounds.
Thorp smiled. "Fine with me, the sooner the better, its your turn to pay your part of the deal." He sat at the same chair he had used the last time he had been there with Batgirl and Gabriel, those days seemed to be ages ago.
"I also warn ya that if what ya tell me is useless, or false..." Thorp let the threat hang.
"Please, don't insult me, what you'll get is just what ya paid for...or at least what Gabreil paid for." Drain leaned out on his throne, eager to get this over with.
Graventhorp nodded, urging him to continue.
The nossie primo started by letting Thorp know where he had gotten the information he was about to reveal, so the source would be trusted. Finishing that, he got on with what Thorp was interested in...
"...I know you know that it was made by Cappas...correct?"
Graventhorp nodded, exasperated.
"Well, these Cappas created a weapon that would supposedly help them kill gnagrel, but it backfired on them, and was actually their own cuase of death. The sword acquired characteristics, powers, that weren't supposed to exist n that particular blade. It does not just make the owner a tad, stronger, braver and faster, but it absorbs a fraction of the soul that died thanks to the blade..."
"I know all that..." Thorp muttered angrily
"Shh! Don't interrupt me! Now, the blade, Lupus Mortis (the name was given by the Gangrel that killed the Cappadocians, not the cappas themselves), grants a perfect balance between the beast and humanity, after prolonged used of course. But, what could be its most powerful attribute, is to do the contrary as well... to turn the owner either into complete human...or into complete beast..."
Thorp leaned closer..this he had definetely not heard. Drain seemed to be satisfied with that..
"Well, if correctly used Lupus Mortis can turn you, for as long as you want, into a mortal...or, into a..lupine...a garou."
Thorp froze, frowning.
Drain smiled. "yeah, that blade should never fall into the wrong hands...care to selling it?"
Graventhorp ignored that last question.
"What do you mean it can make me garou...and mortal?"
Drain sighed. "yeah, just hold the blade and concentrate on it, and either let the beast loose, to go to garou form, or go the other way, enclsoe the beast. And then ya go to mortal.
I must warn you, though, that while in garou form its gonna be HELL controlling yourself, so don't do it for the first time close to any mortals, it might endanger Masquerade. Don't do it close to friends either, you would probably slice and dice them before you knew you had. Now, please go..I have buisnesses to attend."

Graventhorp put the sewer lid back in place, sniffed for any spies, and leaned on the alley's wall, still perplexed. If what Drain had said was true, Lupus Mortis could be of great value to Cascadia...in the correct hands, of course, 'cause the other way around...
It was late, no mortals around except for a passed-out wino 2 blocks down and an old lady asleep on the sidewalk 2 blocks up. At least that's what Thorp's nose told him, and it had never been wrong.
"ahh, what the hell." He unsheathed Lupus Mortis, feeling the familiar surge of strength, speed and courage flow through him. He sighed, grabbed the hilt with both hands, put his forehead to the blade, carefully, and closed his eyes.
Enclose the beast. Raise Humanity. BE human.
He felt an electrical current, not mild at all, envelope him he opened his eyes in time to see Lupus Mortis turn to a white light, and then FLASH.
He reopened his eyes, having closed them after the blinding flash, and gasped. He could barely see in the darkness. He sniffed, he got nothing.
"For Odan's sake.." He gasped, even his voice was different, less rough...less animalistic. He looked down, he had gotten at least 2 inches shorter, his hands were now thin and had clean, normal fingernails. Huamn fingernails. He played with his tongue inside his mouth...no fangs..no fangs at all. He touched hsi face with his unfamiliar hands..his eyebrows were less bushy..his nose a tad wider..he gasped. He had forgotten something..his hands were free..
He searched frantically, there was no Lupus Mortis to see, not even its sheathe.
"Oh, oh, no no no no." He stopped..he felt fear..a different human fear..fear of having lost the weapon forever. Drain had not talked about the sowrd vanishing. What if he could NOT change back? Fear rapidly subsided and rage took over...
FLASH
He opened his eyes again. He felt stronger, taller..hungry for vitae. And there,in his clawed hairy hands, was Lupus Mortis. Even the sheathe was now strapped to his waist again. He sighed with relief and put the weapon away.
"It must've been the rage I felt that brought me back to the unlife, the beast stopped being so enclosed." Thorp thought out loud..his voice now had the guttural rasping he was accustomed to.
He put on his sunglasses, closed his mouth to conceal his fangs, clenched hsi fists and walked toward the night. He had to go see Gabriel.

The steam swirled around his aching body. Dead muscles never tire is what the Elders said. Well, his sure as hell hurt, and he sure as hell was tired. Gabriel sighed and let his forehead rest on the shower wall directly below the golden coated shower head. The water drenched his blonde hair and caused it to stick to his shoulders and chest.
Gabriel glanced down at his body. Should have been dead long ago....188 years had passed since he had come into the world. Sometimes it STILL shocked him that he was alive. But was it a blessing...or.....
A knock on the bathroom door interrupted his thought. Annoyed Gabriel slid the glass door to the shower open a tad. The steam came billowing out. Showering was one of the few luxuries Gabriel still enjoyed.
"Yes?" He inquired, underlying the question with a bit of anger.
"Sir," Fredrick's thick Irish accent came through the oak door to the bathroom without a hitch, "The Gangrel's here to see you."
"Which Gangrel?" Gabriel knew damn well which Gangrel, but it was a safety precaution.
"Mr. G. Thorp."
"Have him wait in the parlor."
"Aye sir."

Gabriel stepped into the parlor in his red velvet robe. It matched the carpet perfectly, sometimes Gabriel feared people would mistake it for the same material. But no matter....
Something was odd...he did not SENSE Gangrel. He glanced about and quickly spotted Graventhorp in the far corner staring out the window over his grounds.
"Thorp...is that you?" Gabriel asked hesitantly.
"Of course it is shit for brains...." the Gangrel replied, his back still turned away, "Why? Is something different?"
With that Graventhorp turned around facing Gabriel. A gasp flew past Gabriel's lips as he took in the figure in front of him. He was no longer animalistic...he was nearly....human. Gabriel focused him mind and reached out over the room, he let his thoughts and energy sink into Graventhorp to find his Gangrel side....but there was NONE!
"W...what happened?" Gabriel stuttered in disbelief. Graventhorp took a step foward.
"Gabriel, it's the true power of the sword. It has the ability to turn one into either a Garou or a Kine! COMPLETELY!"
Gabriel shook his head, trying to clear away the shock. He headed over to the mini-bar and poured himself a scotch. He put the twinkling glass up to his lips, but hesitated..
"Incredible...Graventhorp...Kindred have been searching for this for as long as we've existed!"
Graventhorp smiled slightly and joined Gabriel at the mini-bar. He began ransacking the cupboards searching for his drink of choice.
"Thorp....this is unbelievable. So where's the sword now?"
"What is this shit?" Thorp muttered, examing a bottle of imported German beer."Don't you have anything besides imports? You know Gabriel, considering our nation's crisis, you'd think you'd be buying American beer, after all...."
"THORP! Where is the blade now?"
The Gangrel put his teeth to the bottle cap and twisted. His eye welled up with watery tears.
"OW FUCK!" he grunted in pain. He dropped the bottle and put his hands to his mouth. Suddenly, hair began to sprout from his arms and face. His nose narrowed and became beastlike. Gabriel could see his fangs grow. He was a Gangrel once more. The blade appeared in his hand out of nowhere, nearly severing his face.
"What in the...." Gabriel began.
"It disappears when used....rage and I suppose pain, brings it back and reverses the effect." Thorp finished. He swiped the bottle of the ground and bit the cap again, popping it off without effort. He took a swig of the expensive beer.
"My God Thorp...do you realize what we have??"
"You mean what I have blue-blood...what I have...."

((forgive the lateness of my reply.

Graventhorp chugged the imported beer and made a face.
"Ya know what? This ale ain't ale." He chugged again, finishing off with three quarters of the beer.
Gabriel noted the fact that Thorp complained about the expensive beer, but still drunk it, but his mind let the remark slip away, he had other things to focus on..
"Are you sure there are no side-effects on using the blade?"
The City Gangrel finished off the beer and threw it behind his shoulder (a ghoul promptly walked to it and picked it up, just as it had done with the beer cap Thorp had spit earlier).
"Well, Drain didn't mention any, but the possibility exists...fuck, to be mortal again, I thought I would like that, but I hated it, ya know? My nose feels like its full of snot and I can't pick any scents, and my body feels like its built with fuckin' toothpicks." Thorp raided the mini-bar again and got another beer. "But, I could see the sun again..."
"No! Graventhorp, what if while you were out during the day you stepped on gum and got mad? You would turn back and fry in instants! Not mentioning mortals everywhere would see it...AND the sword."
"Well, the posibilty exists. But as long as I get the Beast as enclosed as possible..." Thorp looked at the Ventrue. "Ahh, ya fuckin' fag, ok, I'll be careful," He raised his hand and made a feminine "I promise."
Gabriel slipped a smile, and then asked. "Well, you said it could also turn you into a garou, correct?"
The City Gangrel stopped drinking beer and got serious. "Yeah. But to do that I'd have to do the opposite of enclosing The Beast.."
"You mean.."
"You betcha, letting it loose...It'd be hard to gain and stay in control..."
Gabriel took a sip of scotch. "Well, think of what you could do, maybe even spy at the real Garou. Lupus Mortis could be what would finally make Cascadia garou-free."
"Yeah, but if I lose control?"

"You sure it is safe?" Gabriel asked for the fifth time.
Thorp shrugged, "look, even if I lost control, what could a mortal do to ya? Hug you?"
Gabriel really was curious. "ok, go ahead."
THorp nodded and unsheathed Lupus Mortis. Gabriel stared at the blade, surprised how it could take his breath away even when he had seen it a dozen times, even fought alongside it.
He stared as the City Gangrel grabbed the hilt with both hands and put the blade to his forehead, closing his eyes. He raised both hsi eyebrows and stood up from the armchair he was sitting on as Lupus Mortis turned brilliantly white...seemed to expand and
FLASH
Where THorp once stood, now a kine that had certain resamblance to the kindred he knew stood. It opened its eyes and looked around in hazel, once yellow, eyes.
"God, even my vision sucks." It said in an unfamilair voice.
"God?" Gabriel questioned.
"God? I said "Fuck" not God..."
"No, Thorp, you said God..."
The mortal raised an eyebrow. "hmm.. mortal talk. You know what I don't miss about bein' kindred?"
"Waht" Gabriel asked, worried about Thorp's unusual use of words.
"The Hunger."

Gabriel sniffed the air, the one time Gangrel certainly SMELLED less offensive. He thought briefly about commenting...but the present situation demanded otherwise...
"Graventhorp....listen to me..." Gabriel looked sternly into the Kine's unfamiliar eyes. "Keep this under wraps. There are Kindred out there who would not hesitate to kill for this relic. If word of this gets out....well...I don't care if you can turn into a mutt now or not, you'll be finished for sure."
The Kine nodded and glanced around, adjusting to his new perspective.
"Yeah...I know Gabriel...I know. Fuck...this is strange...I've forgotten how it feels." Thorp muttered, trailing off.
"Yeah well....look. For now, it's between you...me...the Nossie...and Bats. Okay?"
"Yeah yeah. Prissy Ventrue....." Graventhorp muttered. Gabriel chuckled and slapped Thorp on the back. Graventhorp flew to the floor. "Ahh....fuck..." he groped at his back in obvious pain.
"Shit...sorry Thorp..hey why don't you change back? Lets go see the Former Prince about this."
Graventhorp shifted quickly into his natural state and stood up still rubbing his back...
"Yeah lets do that...." He said. As they walked out towards Gabriel's waiting car, Graventhorp let his hand smack the back of Gabriel's head. "Fuckin Ventrue....."

The moon was nowhere to be seen. Graventhorp stared out the tinted glasses of Gabriel's limo. The night seemed to-
"You could go undercover during the day!" Gabriel suddenly spat, interrupting Graventhorp's thoughts. Thorp winced and lashed his head toward the Ventrue "Ya think?" sarcasm drooping from the 2 syllables. "And besides, man" the City Gangrel pointed as his ears, "don't scream inside the limo. Its bad enough to hear every single explosion in every single cylinder the fuckin' motor produces, that with the crunching of the asphalt under the tires, the wind against the wind shield, and that fucking ghoul's breathing!"
Gabriel let out a thunderous laugh. "Why don't you just turn to kine and make it go away?"
"What? No! I won't change into food unless its a fuckin' emergency, ya hear me?"
And then under hsi breath: "Fuckin' Ventrue"
Gabriel smiled "My hearing might not be as good as yours, my wolf-like buddy, but I could still hear that."
Thorp turned to him and smiled. "I know, I wanted ya to.."
Gabriel was about to reply when the limo slowly screeched to a stop (screeched only for Thorp, it was a smooth brake for eveyone else). "Guess we're here."
Both kindred stepped out and paused to look at Cappa Catta. They walked toward the main entrance. An assamite guard stared at them as they approached.
"Wha-" The assamite interrupted his question as e recognized Graventhorp, and nodded. "Deputy Sheriff" the guard greeted.
Gabriel smiled as Thorp's fangs suddenly showed more and the little hairs (altough they grew every time he used protean) behind his neck stood up. He was obviously angry at being called "deputy sheriff", and more since it was one of his hated assamites.
"Back Off." Thorp muttered and knocked the door.

"I'll notify Ms Batgirl of your arrival" The Assamite guard disappeared inside closing the door behind him. He reappeared minutes later with the former prince.

"Good evening gentlemen" she said, nodding to Gabriel then to Thorp. "You still have the sword I notice"

Gabriel nodded eagerly "We've discovered it's powers! Lupus Mortis will allow us to change totally into kine or Garou!"

"There ya go with the 'we' crap again, me!! It lets me change! It's my bloody sword!" growled Thorp.

"Ownership is only two-parts of the law Thorp" smirked Batgirl. The Assamite guard closed the heavy door to Cappacata and stood back slightly from the coterie, still protective of Batgirl.

Thorp looked menacingly at Bats and she smiled somewhat sweetly in return. No dog-boy was going to scare her.

Gabriel looked around seeing the dark streets were empty. "Show Bats what you can do!"

"Aye show me what this sword is capable of" They both looked at Thorp and waited for a response.

it had been 3 yrs since Lincoln had seen his sire. The two had split on bad terms. Garou were our friends, and were to be trusted. Odnan never could see that he manipulated them and killed their most prized mysticks at every oppertunity. Lincoln had intergrated in to the city of Jamestown and become some what of a leader in the city. but now he was alone his trusted pack was not with him, nor did thsy know where he had gone. He reverted back to his vampirec self to walk slowly to the rock which covereed the only enterence to the door. His legs were unacustomed to walking and were a bit wobbely. inside of the cave he found the place was deserted. no blood, no Odnen, no herbs and meats drying, and most importantly NO SWORD. where ever that foolish sire of his had gone to he planned on trouble, his prized Lupis Mortis was not here.
Lincoln spent a week searching for clues, he only knew thatOdnan had only taken the sword out in times of need, and that it was powerfull, But now thought Lincoln, I am powerfull also and need a weapon fiting my stature. The elders of the pack had told him of the powers of the sword and that it has the power to make a vampire into a werewolf. A dream come true.

(( ok he is going to have the wolves cast a seeking spell to find the sword but i have to go to work. SO Batty i could use your help here, besided I am no writer. Ill leave it up to Batts or someone else to take up the search for the sword.
