I've been having a lot of fun today reading over old chit chat messages from the past few years. It's interesting to see yours and others perspectives from different points of our lives.

You guys certainly have been a great bunch of friends the past decade. :)

I suspect I'd end up wanting to slap myself pretty hard if I dared to venture in there!! That quote from Alice in Wonderland springs to mind - "But I don't want to go among mad people" lol

They remind me of how much my life has changed for the better :)

We all played a silly little vampire RP game for 2-3 years at most but this small bit of the internet has kept us all together

I know! And for that I am forever in debt to White Wolf. :)

As 'custodian' of the old posts, I am doing my best to be sure they never get lost. Presently, I back up the database to disk every day, with a seven day rotation and the disks themselves are a mirrored pair, in case one breaks.

In the next week or so, I'll also be getting a new 'mort' (this server) which will be a big hardware upgrade and we'll be starting to additionally back up to tape.

I know it's quiet here these days, but it's too full a treasure trove of our memories to simply allow to die.
