Huh...went well I guess. They want to see me on Wednesday of next week for awhile. It's a good sign. Here's to hoping I don't muck it up!

It went well I think. They showed me around the facility and went further in depth with the job responsibilities. The only downside was that the big boss wasn't in the office that day, so unfortunately I have to go back on Monday to meet with him. But from what the recruiter said, she's been intercepting a lot of positive e-mail traffic about me.
Sooo...hopefully. *fingers crossed*

It's a lab support position with Northrop Grumman. It's not EXACTLY what I want to do, but it's with the right company and there's boatloads of opportunities there.
It pays more, it's a nice environment, more responsibility, etc etc.
Most importantly it puts me within striking position of the jobs I REALLY want. AND they'll pay for any schooling I undertake, which is the biggest incentive frankly. Master's Degree here I come!

Nice to see the interview coaching I gave you worked out.
[quote:be6334ccea="ICQ tidbits before interview"]
Me:maybe you could ask them in your interview?
"Does your company support an extensive and irritating beauracracy?"
"It does? Oh good, because I always wanted one of those desks like in the film Brazil."
Jimbo: i'll take one of those magnifying screens
Me:I can't spell, when you say it on the phone, make sure you spell it properly. bureaucracy. they can hear bad spelling in teh tone of your voice.don't say 'teh' either.typos in an interview are bad.
Jimbo: "Oh, he lol'd"
[/quote:be6334ccea]
[quote:be6334ccea="ICQ tidbits after interview"]
Me:Did you ask them abotu the bureaucracy?
Jimbo:yes, the job comes with bureaucracy insurance
any injury to the brain or spirit caused by excess bureaucracy will be covered [/quote:be6334ccea]

Thank you, thank you!
Yes...at long last James Benson has entered the professional workforce. The job is entry level, however not as entry level as I had anticipated. It's a fantastic setup and I really feel like I lucked out.
Thanks for all your support folks! I start June 2nd!
