You have tenants! You should be charging rent, not bitching about it.

Uh...went to the doctor's today. Found out it's not chiggers or bed bugs...
I have shingles. :/ Brought on by high stress levels.
I also have high blood pressure. :(

Yes but remember that Australia has very different industrial relations laws to the US. The current state award minimum wage for bar work is $19.46 per hour. This increases up to $38.86 for weekend work. This rate include any allowances such as uniforms, shoes, meals, public holiday rates, etc. It doesn't include tips either.
Shingles? Isn't that like chicken pox? Maybe you shouldn't be scratching, it might leave scars.

It's the same virus, basically laying dormant and beaten down in your body after you've had it once. But during times of high stress or when your immune system's weakened (ie. a guy having a stressful month and not getting a whole lot of sleep :/ ) it can resurface as shingles.
I'm trying to scratch. I have a prescription....five pills a day. FIVE!

omg, WAAAAAAAAAAAAY better.
It's such a relief. Cost me $200 for the doc. visit and to fill the prescription...but at least I can sleep peacefully.
Last night I went to bed at 10:30 PM, which for me is EXTREMELY abnormal. I even woke up late for school. 9.5 hours of sleep...almost never happens. It was fantastic.

Right. The doc and meds cost me $200 total.
They have payment plans if it rises much higher. You pay half at the office and then in installments.
Ah, capitalism when it comes to medicine and health is a beautiful thing. Can't really complain though as I frequently tout the wonders of free market. I suppose we get better doctors as a result of their being a market.

I'm really glad you're ok and not being slowly consumed by flesh eating bugs but $200??? Scheisser! I don't dare use this thread to start on about how great our health care system is (free, completely free, though my doctor now charges a co-payment of $20 which I can claim back anyway), someone might get the idea that I'm trying to convince everyone to move here ;)

Since the breakup (dun dun DUN!) I've thought seriously about moving abroad several times. But I'd have to graduate first.

I plan to scope out Aussie during our my next tour of the middle east. I figure if I like it well enough I may move there for college. A lot of it will depend on if My GI bill is able to be put to use outside the U.S. But it should be as long as they have Accredited schools there. Maybe i can get some tight foreign student scholarship.
James try smokin more gonjaa....Thats a True blue cure for high bp.

I've got some cool herbs you can try ......
Siberian ginseng, motherwort and garlic all excellent for bringing down your blood pressure or there is a bachs flower remedy you can take orally .....a couple of drops on your tongue daily but I canr for the life of me think what it is called.
Anyway they are worth a try :)
