That's not the longest word. I've just had this conversation with my SIL. It [b:bc084b8ba1]is[/b:bc084b8ba1] the longest [i:bc084b8ba1]medical[/i:bc084b8ba1] term but it is not officially accepted as the longest English word. [i:bc084b8ba1]Antidisestablishmentarianism[/i:bc084b8ba1] use to be the longest word but it now rides in the back seat to [i:bc084b8ba1]floccinaucinihilipilification[/i:bc084b8ba1].

Floccinaucinihilipilification is the act of describing something as worthless :)

By the way... certain dictionaries are now refusing to list Floccinaucinihilipilification as a word, as it's main use has become as an example of a long word, rather than an actual word in current usage in the English language.
