Victoria ran across the room, frantically looking for an escape route.Rough arms grabbed her and dragged her back to the stone altar, her feet slipping along the cold ,lichen covered paved floor, as their gnarled fingers dug deeply into her flesh.
The face appeared before her, the eyes as black as night, a wicked smile across its face.
“Ive not finished with you yet, Ive only just begun to show you what true pain is” he laughed, and she screamed as she watched him pick up the long bladed double edged blade, already dripping with her blood.
He held it high above her chest and brought it down with such force, the knife dug deeply into her and he moved it slowly causing a wide wound to open in her chest.
Her screams rang around the room as he plunged his hand into her chest and ripped her heart out, holding it high above his head .

Victoria woke up screaming, her hand clutching her chest.Blood sweat dripped of her lithe body drenching the sheets that were wrapped around her.
She stumbled out of bed, her body trembling and went to the bathroom, steadying herself with one hand on the cold tiles she turned the shower on and stepped into it. watching as the water washed away the blood sweat of her body.

“the nightmares are back I see” darius said as he grabbed a towel of the rail and held it out for her.
Victoria nodded and stepped out of the shower allowing him to wrap the towel around her and lead her back into her bedroom.
“I found out about your haven, it is occupied, it seems someone is been guarded there” he watched as she curled up on the sofa in her bedroom, her eyes closing slowly.
“thankyou Darius” she smiled weakly at the nossie . They had become friends a while ago now and she was surprised at his appearance, he looked perfectly normal, but she had learnt gradually that his hideousness lay in his sick mind and not his looks.
He smiled at her, not understanding why she wanted to return here so much, after all she had been through.

She walked along the streets, ignoring the kine who where on their way home from clubbing. It was good to be back she thought, pushing the hood of her head and letting her long white blonde hair fall down her back.
earlier she had met Adrianna in the elysium and had been shocked over her appearance, it seemed all lasombras seemed to have Sires who revelled in causing their childer misery.
Victoria paused as she passed the park and pushed the iron gates open, the hinges moaning in protest.her footsteps echoed on the cobbled path as she made her way to a bench.
Her eyes closing she remembered all that had happened to her in the city, both good and bad. her slim hand slipped into her pocket and she felt the cold metal against her fingers.
Pulling her hand out she looked at the sapphire hair clip, smiling as she remembered the night he had given it to her.
All the good times they had spent together had now been tarnished though, he had stood by and watched while valek had punished her.
Her eyes opened...Valek....maybe she should go and tell him she was here...in his city...since he was now then prince.

Rea had sat for hours the night before,trying to work out why she had returned to Cascadia, her eyes closed, the flashbacks of what had happened , both good and bad filling her mind.
valek stood over here, his eyes glazed black, her body recoiling in horror as he scowled down at her. The image flickered and she was sat under a tree, two horses tethered close by as the white silvery moon cast its eerie shadow throught the branches of the tree, a smile spread across her lips, damien he had been her confidant when she was had wanted to talk and they had become great friends.
Reannag opened her eyes as a truck rumbled by,bringing her back to reality with a jolt,
She knew why she was here now ..to let favours be returned and to seek something ,someone maybe,she wasn't sure , she just knew that until she could lay all her past memories of the city to rest, she would not be able to rest in peace.
