The forest landscape streaked by at a dizzying pace, as the small figure darted through the trees and underbrush. It clung tightly to the shadows leaving no more than a flash in the moonlight's speckled beams. It had travelled quickly from the old cottage, fast approaching the city lights that blotched the landscape. The unpurity, the corruption.

There had been a time when Gideon had seperated right from wrong. All those years ago, in France. He worked to protect the "innocent", through bloodshed and sweat. His body had endured many beatings by bandits and waymen in a vain attempt to protect the villagers of what he once knew as Gaul. But upon his embrace, he quickly discovered that all were corrupt. Humans and Vampires alike, destroyed all around him. Gratitude was only temporary, time dulled acts of heroics and their doers alike.

The hunched figure came to a halt at the treeline, pacing once in a circle before resting on it's laurels. Black hair coated it's body, concealing the thick muscles that propelled the creature. The wolf's eyes shimmered in the dusk as he searched for his prey. A mixture of animalistic qualties and Vampiric magic made the beast virtually unstoppable. The game to survive had finally paid off after centuries of toil, and now the vile creature found himself nearly at the top of the food chain.

It broke into a trot, moving among the tall grass that blanketted the field between the forest and city. The wolf breathed in bursts, throwing up tufts of dirt and soil from the ground before it. In the open it could smell for miles, it's senses giving it an omnipotent reach. As the faint blue light reflected on it's fur the creature began to change. It continued it's furied run towards the city lights, but slowly the fur began to disappear, revealing dark muscular skin. The torso extended and thickened, and the limbs followed suit. The face gradually became less and less feral, until Gideon's beaming smile was visable.

With a single leap, Gideon broke his four legged stride in exchange for a slower two legged sprint. He passed through a single line of trees and found himself on the outskirts of the city. Malachite would be pleased, he took even less time than he thought. Slowly, the nude figure crept through the streets, avoiding Kine and Kindred alike. Slipping into an alley he waited. He could smell it....vile, tainted, and raw.

The boy appeared around the corner. Baggy jeans drooping off of his waist, covering brown suade boots. A shirt, long enough to be a blouse, hung over the boys bulky body. A thick bandana and hat adjourned his head, over which an aggressive, yet wholly empty, snarl was cast. He was a descendant of Gideon's own, black and proud. He stared at the hunched form, apparently shocked by his nakedness.

"N*gga, what the f*ck's wrong wichu??" he exclaimed, his broken English a verbal assault on Gideon's ears. Gideon stood, his muscles now gleaming in the yellow lamplight. With no reply, his struck out, his fingers elongating into dagger like claws. They tore through the boys face with little resistance and buried themselves deep within his skull. Quickly, the silent assassin drew the boy's thrashing body into the depths of the alleyway, and ended his misled life.

Moments later, the Gangrel Antibru emergered, clothed in an urban decor. He shot two lupine eyes down the street, towards the Ventrue's reported secondary haven and smiled.

"Well Gideon old chap, lets stir up some trouble...."

((okay, what's gonna happen is instead of trying to manage two threads at once {Toils of Unlife, Trials of Vitae}, I'm gonna combine the two. so while Gabe and Syd are meeting with Ports, they'll receive a visitor....

((thx for the positive feedback guys :)

Gideon prowled the Cascadian boulevards; slowly making his way towards the site his employer had specified. Most of the Kine avoided him, whether they were intimidated by his apparel or something else was unclear, but even a creature as oblivious as a human could tell. Something was not right with this one. He stood away from the crowd. Long arms hung on his sides, ripe with veins and the very sinews of muscles themselves. His shoulders were broad and protruded like a golem of old. His lean frame did not emit a sense of power, but he walked with the confidence of a linebacker, completely sure of his surroundings.

The MECCA hat covered his eyes and cast a sinister shadow across the contours of his face. As he traveled, he began to see the streets change. The buildings took on an older feel, their style, although faded and dingy, distinct of a different era. He cut through several lawns, bounding over twisted chain link fences, and dying hedges with ease. Finally he saw it.

The house stood tall and aggressively. It was certainly a Ventrue stronghold. Gideon scanned his memory for dealings with the Blue Bloods. In the past he had invaded several of their strongholds, with little resistance to speak of. The Ventrue were rich, and could certainly afford the latest technology, but once you broke through their defenses, their underbellies were soft and vulnerable. He grinned and pressed on, cautious but swift. Malachite had informed him that this base of operations was newly renovated and the Ventrue named Gabriel had moved in only two days prior. There was no way they had all their technology in place yet.

It was ripe for the picking.

He reached the porch with no opposition and dismantled the lock with ease. A simple flick of the claw and the entire lock clattered to the wood. As he entered the dark foyer within, he let his lupine eyes search out the first of his victims. A broad, canine smile trickled across his dark lips, the hunt was on.

************************

"I'm ready to prove myself."

Gabriel nodded, understanding the freshly returned Gangrel's eagerness to show his worth. Only a day back from the mists of inhumanity, surely he was prepared to regain his honor.

"Well Porter, I can't say I'm pleased with you turning down this Scourge position, but the decision lies within your hands. I will find work for you however, and should you perform to our satisfaction, you may find the recognition you deserve."

Syd nodded in tempo with Gabriel's words; undoubtedly eager to exploit the Gangrel's talents to his own uses as well. The situation had come at a prime moment for the two Ventrue. With Gabriel's power waning within the city, his enemies would be preparing to finish him off quickly. A powerful Gangrel could easily cause massive amounts of damage. Syd no doubt had his own plethora of adversaries to deal with, his casino was becoming one of the hottest points in the city. The Prince's decision to let Gabriel choose the tests worthy of the new arrival was a blessing indeed. Not only would Gabriel get a free workhorse, but Syd Nowell would owe him a boon for the favor.

"It is not recognition I'm concerned with. I merely wish that......" Porter trailed off, his thick hair hanging loosely in his face and trailing down his back. Raising his nose to the air, he sniffed the air cautiously before discharging a low growl. Gabriel and Syd exchanged confused glances before looking back to the Gangrel.

"Porter," Syd asked at last, "what's the prob..."

Porter whipped his body around in one cat-like motion, staring towards the empty doorway of the study. Just then the sound of fluid hitting the floor sounded out, followed by a heavy thud. All three Kindred stared at the vacant threshold and watched as a thick, dark pool of blood began to seep across the floor.

A figure stepped out from the hallway, blood clinging to his baggy clothes.

"Evening gents....consider this a warning...." Gideon smiled.

((okies Ive added this last ic post from the other thread...hope this doesnt get too confusing lol

Kathy backed away she felt the roughness of his fingers trail the outline of her lips.

"you are the one that he will come looking for and I will be waiting for him...we have things to settle" his coarse age worn voice said to her as he looked at her, his eyes as dark as night.

Kathy knocked his fingers away from her lips, and bared her fangs angrily.
"he wont fall for your tricks you know and besides what makes you think he will come looking for me ? we are just friends and im sure he doesnt even know ive gone missing" she said hoping that Malachite didnt know the truth about her and Gabriel.

He laughed loudly, his head tilting back and his mouth opening widely as his deep laughter rung around the room.
"you dont think I would be so ill prepared do you , I know about you and him, I have done my preparations well and Ive left nothing to chance"

Kathy turned her face away from him and snarled quietly.

Malachite grinned at her obvious irration as he walked back over to the fire, his bulky frame casting shadows on the bare wooden flooring.

"" At least lets make your stay with us a pleasant one Miss Belavadere, Im sure a torrie such as yourself appreciates the lavishness of my temporary haven" he said sarcastically, as he lowered himself onto an old faded armchair and the dust from it rose and formed a small cloud in the dimlight that cast itself through the broken slats of the boarded windows.

" come and sit beside the fire with me" he ordered as she stood staring at the wall.
Kathy turned and glared at him defiantly.
"I'd rather watch the sunrise than sit with you...you sicken me that you can't find any other way to trap Gabriel than use me" she spat at him viciously.

His eyes darkened and he scowled. A nod of his head was all that it took and Gideon strode across the room to her and grabbed her roughly by her arm.

"Its not good to go against Malachite, he doesnt take kindly to been told no" his rich deep voice whispered in her ear.

Kathy frowned and tried to pull away from his grip but his hand tightened on her wrist causing her to flinch as she felt her bones grinding against each other.

"well maybe Its about time someone stood up to him" she said quietly, her eyes narrowing defiantly.

"ENOUGH OF YOUR DEFIANT WAYS"

Malachite's voice echoed around the room and Gideon dragged Kathy across the room and pushed her down into the only other seat near the fire.

Malachite got up and leaned over her, his worn calloused fingers wrapping around her neck as he spoke to her, his rancid breath seeping from his mouth.
"You torrie are nothing but bait, dead or alive he would still come searching for you...so which is it to be?"

Kathys eyes looked frantically around the room, there was no possible way she could take Gideon on alone and as for malachite, she wouldnt stand a chance.

"alive " she said as if she had given up, her voice barely a whisper.
His fingers released her throat and he stepped away from her and returned to his chair.

"It makes so much more sense for you to just accept your situation dont you think?" he asked her as he watched her carefully, seeing why Gabriel found her so appealing.

Kathy looked at him, her eyes unblinking then turned her stare to the flames that flickered in the fire.

"oh quite so...I mean what more could I ask for...delightful surroundings and pleasant company..why on earth would |I want to protest" she said the sarcasm dripping heavily on her every word, she crossed her legs and leaned back in the chair. The smell of dampness and mildew drifting to her as the upholstery moulded itself to her back.

Malachites eyes flashed momentarily and then he stood up and strode out of the room, barking orders to gideon before he left.
"watch her carefully, If you value your unlife"

The door to the room slammed and kathy smiled to herself .

Kathy sat in the armchair for what seemed to be an eternity. Across the room, Gideon sat watch atop an aging table, hunched on all fours like a predator, his eyes catching the light from the fire and twinkling through the darkness. Kathy shuddered slightly, unnerved by his statuesque vigil. The fire was dwindling, the last refuges of oxygen in the logs popping and snapping. With every protracted moment, the room fell darker and darker, even Kathy's vampiric eyes could not make out Gideon's features any longer.

Suddenly the door burst open, sending tital waves of dust careening from the floor and arching into the open air. A deluge of moonlight washed over the room and at last Kathy could see Gideon, eerily unaffected by the new arrival, he sat watching her still. She shifted her eyes to the figures in the doorway, the first, a broad thick and defiantly evil form, was familiar. Malachite grinned at his sentinal's work and then moved towards the back of the room, his heavy boots stomping across the cracked floorboards.

The second figure was new, petite and smooth. She was undoubtably female, from her seamless legs to her mocha colored tressles, which curled tentatively above her breasts. Her skin was a deathly palor, and bore several scars, ones that had been acquired before her dark kiss. Emerald eyes shrieked through the shadows, and Kathy could feel the masochistic malevolence behind them. Two hands slid down the back of the chair and came to rest on Kathy's shoulders.

"Ms. Belvadere...." Malachite's deep voice crooned, "I'd like to introduce you to Sylvia. She's my security expert, specializing in....well....I'm sure she'll explain that to you in time." Kathy glanced away from Sylvia's striking form and up to Malachite. His eyes were narrow, his oversized pupils seemed to be ripping into her essance. For the first time, she felt true fear permeate her barrier of strength. Malachite apparently detected it and shot a glance up to Gideon.

The wiry vampire nodded and in a burst of speed shot past Sylvia into the forest beyond.

"Well Ms. Belvadere, I must apologize for being such a rude host, but I have several pressing matters to attend to. I'll leave you and Sylvia to become....acquanted (sp??)." The blood trickled from Kathy's face as Malachite shut the door, leaving the shack in utter darkness once again. In what meager moonlight remained, Kathy could see Sylvia's form approach, her hands slowly changing. The flesh itself stretching and contorting into single spikes.

"Gabriel please...." she whimpered, curling up in the armchair.

Kathy watched as sylvia approached her. Her body was perfection itself, moving like fluid beneath the tight fitting leather dress she wore. Her face was flawless all except the fine scars that crisscrossed her cheeks. Her emerald eyes stared at kathy as she neared her and her tongue snaked out of her mouth the saliva glistening on it as she ran it almost sensously over her lips.

"Hello sweet thing, do you wanna play awhile?"
Kathy shuddered as she felt the spikes that now replaced sylvia's hands run down her arm, causing the thin wool of her jumper to split.

"please look Im not going to cause you any trouble you stand over there and guard me and I'll sit here, there's no need for you to hurt me at all" kathy said pleadingly, she sensed that the one stood in front of her was of the tzimize clan and kathy knew there love of pain and torture far outweighed any other clan.

"oh but there is, your pain and fear is my pleasure, I ask no payment for my services from Malachite, I enjoy my work too much you see" she leaned over kathy and her tongue slipped out of her mouth and seemed to change into the forked tongue of a snake before it ran against kathy's cheek.
Kathy shrank away in horror.

"we may have hours before Gabriel arrives,I don't see why we cant have a little fun" sylvia said almost hypnotically as she walked behind the chair that kathy sat on.

Kathy looked at her arm as she felt it begin to tingle and watched in horror as her skin seemed to move as if there was something crawling beneath it. Biting her lip to hold back a scream she touched her skin tentively with her fingers and recoiled as her skin moved away from her fingers.

"please...stop it " Kathy stammered trying to block out the horror, closing her eyes tightly and praying that gabriel or someone would find her quickly.

............................................................................

"Kathy, my dear"

Kathy opened her eyes and stood up looking to the source of the voice. There was no sign of Sylvia but in the doorway stood the figure that she knew and loved.
Kathy ran over to him and threw her arms around his neck letting her fingers run through his blonde hair.

"Its malachite, he had me brought here , hes using me for bait and....."

Gabriel put his fingers to her lips.
"All taken care of my dear, so there's no need to worry about them anymore" he said as he tilted her chin up to his face and kissed her deeply.

Kathy responded and moaned as she felt his arms encircling her waist pulling her towards his firm lean body.

"what's going on Gabe, why is he after you?" she asked touching his face softly as she pulled away from him, breaking their kiss.

"I'll expalin later, its been so long kathy, I need you so badly, ive missed you so much" his voice sounded slightly different somehow but kathy took no notice as the words he said hit her.

Blushing she looked around, wondering what had come over him, it was not like him to be so forward.

"I dont think this is the time or the place do you ?" she replied softly as she took his hand and started heading for the doorway.

"lets just go I dont like this place it gives me the creeps and the surroundings arent my style really" she laughed trying to pull him towards the door.
His fingers gripped tighter on hers and she frowned as he refused to move, a look of sheer determination on his face.

"No Now!" his voice echoed around the empty room and kathy looked at him closely, there was something about his face, was it a look of sheer weariness or something else.

"Im not playing games Gabe , I want to leave"
His face never changed as he dragged her across the dusty floor, kathy dug her shoes into the floor in an attempt to stop him but he outpowered her easily.
He threw her onto a bench in the far corner of the room, pushing her onto her back roughly.

"gabe, thats enough your scaring me now, please lets just go, I cant believe you are behaving like this" Kathy tried to pull her arms free but he just gripped them tighter.

He switched grip so he could hold both of her wrists in one of his hands and used the other to lift up her jumper,to reveal her soft white breasts.
" I said now" he muttered a glazed look in his eye as he lowered his head, baring his fangs.

Kathy screamed as he bit her roughly.
"gabe no!!"

............................................................................

Kathy woke what seemed like hours later, her body ached and as she woke up the horror of what gabe had done to her hit her. Her breasts, stomach and neck were covered in bite marks, there ragged edges unhealed.

Easing herself up she gasped as she saw the bruises on her thighs. dark blue in colour you could clearly see the outline of fingers imprinted onto her skin.

Tears began to run down her cheeks as she remembered who had done this to her.
Supporting her body with her arms she got up off the bench and slid off it, her legs buckling beneath her. It had been nights since she had fed and she felt so weak now that blood had been drained from her.

Tentatively she bent down and picked up her jeans and pulled them on carefully.
"Why Gabe, why do this to me ?" she whimpered as she fastened the jeans up.

Kathy half walked, half stumbled over to the fire and slumped on the floor in front of it, shivering with shock.

"Miss Belvadere, what has he done to you? such a cruel thing to do to one that he supposedly loves don't you think?"

Kathy whirled around and looked at Malachite, her eyes devoid of all feelings.
"perhaps, this little incident , shall we call it, has persuaded you to help me complete my task, after all a willing prisoner is a lot better than an uncooperative one" he stepped closer to her and kathy saw sylvia not far behind him.

"he..he told me he had dealt with you ...so how come you are still here?"

"he lied to you, as you know I was away and he overpowered Sylvia, surely though you should be wondering whay he did this to you and why he then left you here? should you not?" His words bit deep into kathy and she shook her head not knowing the answers.

"he didn't seem himself though, he's maybe not well, or he's confused, im not sure whats wrong with him"

"Ahh! Now you try to find excuses for him, after all he has done to you, that is a sign of true love indeed, but his love for you has apparently gone, surely you can see that" he said his voice low and calming.

"he's even marked your pretty face sweet thing" Sylvia said as she stepped out from behind Malachite, her fingers running along kathy's cheek.

"My face??" kathy touched her cheek and felt the ragged edge of a cut on her face.

"It's deep too, I doubt it will heal properly, such a shame too" sylvia said as she walked away from kathy, a soft chuckle escaping her throat.

The power that she held to alllow her to physically become another being could cause far more mental anguish and torture to another than a mere implement.

"Evening gents, consider this a warning."

Porter's hackles rose, his leonine features quickly becoming less the "noble savage" and more the instinct-fuelled killer. His green eyes flaring, pinpricks of gold filtering through the irises, before quickly being consumed by the sickly yellow his beast preferred. Gabriel and Syd looked pensive, nodding to each other before forming a delta formation around the intruder.

"Who the hell are you? And how dare you enter my home!"

Gabriel's face creased into an uncharacteristic snarl. His nordic, noble face now looking enraged, mirroring the berzerkers of his celtic origins. Syd had already unbuttoned his coat, a silver stiletto hung within the kevlar weave all the city's Ventrue wore sewn into their suit lining. The extravagance of his garments offset by the simplicity of the blade.

"Who I am is of no consequence. But as to how dare I, yes, most certainly yes I dare."

Porter's nostrils flared, something about the stranger's scent seemed familiar making his throat rumble. The suit he wore heaving now as he stretched inside it. He let out a long, feline growl before extending his claws.

Gideon smiled. "Ahh I see you too have a cub under your heel little Gabriel, " He chuckled, fresh blood gurgling in his windpipe. "How similar you and my master are."

"Your master?"
The question prompted an image to flash through his mind.
"Malachite!"

Gideon grinned again.

"Your insight serves you well little one."

He turned towards Syd, a blur of an arm sending the stiletto spiralling across the room before thudding squarely into the rich mahogany mantle.

"Don't try my patience boy."

Shock made Syd step back.

"Where is he? Where has he taken her?" Gabriel sent out a psychic "bolt" penetrating the intruder's mind. Before he could "read" the thoughts a psychic wall threw itself up. Obviously the doing of a powerful mentalist like Malachite.

"All in good time boy, all in good time."

Porter, driven by instinct, caught Gideon with a clawed "swat", the awkward, scarecrow of a man stumbled back, laughing as the snarling Gangrel pushed him into the gold filigreed wooden panelling.

"Tell us now!"

His beast kept barely below the skin, drove a clawtip into Gideon's shoulder. Pain however didn't register on his victim's face. Twisting his claw deeper, Porter growled as Gideon laughed.

"Is that the limit of your power pup?" He laughed louder as his body began to vibrate, a curious haze surrounding him. Porter felt the resistance around his claw subside, then his hand felt nothing.

Where Gideon had stood now a formless cloud of vapour hung, drifting towards the window. A hollow, distant laughter following it.

"Until the next time..Porter?"

Porter enraged tore his claw free, his muscular body rippling and pulling the suit apart at the seams. Roaring at the fading mist.

"Porter don't you dare lose him! Get after him now! Do you hear?"

Porter spun, his face already feathered as he stepped free of the suit's restraints, pulling the window from its frame.

"Consider him caught Mr. O'Brien."

Throwing himself clear of the shattered window frame he took on the form of a shrike, darting upwards into the absinthe-neon-ether.

"Barking" orders to the animals below his mind locked on the smallest, "angular" mind of a flea.

"Go with him Monad! Guide me."

His wings carrying him over the brush that surrounded the fleeing lupus.

********************

Gideon loped through the increasingly sparse vegetation, his pads scattering dirt and grit with each stride. Snarling with a feral amusement he broke through the barrier of shrubbery that bordered the suburbs of the city. Sensing the blood-heat of passers by.

The flea pulled itself deeper into the dense carpet of fur that covered the wolf's back. Cautious not to alert Gideon of his presence, the tiny passenger sent out a psychic "sigh".

Far above a dark, feathered hunter "heard" the flea's thought and began to whirl around. Disc-like green eyes locking onto the blurred shape that hurtled towards the railway, dodging through alleys as it did. Porter, bolstered by the wind flew faster.

The wolf leapt over the tracks, ducking under abandoned rail cars, disappearing from view.

As Porter circled the rail tracks a shot rang out. A bullet tearing through his wing, knocking him into an uncontrolled dive. His wing fluttering gracelessly as he fell.

A dark figure emerged from its vantage point. Covering Gideon as he faded from view. Pressing a switch on its headset it spoke, its voice masked by electronics.

"Malachite? The trap is set."

The sleek, black clad form turned, an exposed shoulder catching the moonlight. An Assamite brand clearly visible as the assassin headed off in the direction of the fallen Gangrel.

The pain streaked through Porter's right side as he began to process of shifting back to human form. As the feather's disappeared from his worn appendages, he could clearly see the bullet wound in his shoulder, a small tricklet of dark vitae leaking from the wound.

He heard the first of the attackers immediately, before he even emerged from the brush. The footsteps were quick and determined, but Porter's canine impulses were quicker. Lifting his naked form off the ground, the Gangrel stood and spun in a flurry of dirt and leaves. A wet "shurk!" spilled out, as the one time Seneschal burried four claws deep within the chest of the charging Assamite.

The glazed look of torpor overtook the vampires eyes as fresh blood spilled from his lips, coating Porter's forearm in warm liquid. Taking a moment to heal his wound, the Gangrel quickly dispatched the Assamite, severing his head from his body with ease. There were more though...the entire forest was alert to their presence.

He knew he couldn't afford the time or concentration of communicating with his animal brethren, he needed to be fully alert. They emerged from the shadows with blinding speed, their forms barely visible, even to his trained and refreshed eyes. Several Assamites circled him, moving at full speed, their daggers glinting in the moonlight.

Porter let out a feral growl, and flexed his powerful muscles, preparing for the onslaught. The "ffft!" sliced the air behind him, signaling an incoming missle. The Gangrel willed his legs to become canine, lowering his body just in time to feel the blade whiz overhead and embed itself into a tree.

Thump...thump...thump...."un!"....

The attack was quick yet futile. Even as the Assamite foe launched himself into the air, the Gangrel was turning to meet him, claws extending. His brawny canine limbs in wolf form, Porter sprang into the air and embedded his sickle like claws into the chest of the Assamite, who shrieked with pain. His scream was silenced as Porter completed his transformation and buried his mussle (sp?) into the soft neck of the creature.

He had little time to feed however, as the remaining two Assamites leapt from their hiding spaces to take advantage of his vulnerability. Porter quickly tore the neck open, severing the head completely and let the body fall to ashes over the forest ground.

He landed on all fours once again, and retook his human form. Naked and covered in his enemies blood, Porter stood in the freckled moonlight of the forest trees, staring at his now exposed enemies. They were diminutive in comparison to the fully enraged Gangrel, but deadly nonetheless. They began to pace, circling away from each other and placing themselves on either side of their prey. The prey however did not move, but rather closed his eyes and lowered his head, a mane of blotted hair covering his face.

The final assault began, each Assamite launching himself towards the Gangrel, blades drawn. On the belt of one, hung a silenced pistol with a scope. Porter roared in anger, his original foe revealed. Extending both arms, he caught the Assamite by their necks and held them in midair. Both immediately buried their blades deep into his forearms, sending streams of blood into the night air.

With a feral snarl, he cocked back and brought his hands together in front of him, crushing the Assamites skulls against each other. The two bodies disinigrated into ash and floated on the night breeze. Porter stood drenched in the sticky plasma of the Assamites and his own blood sweat. He wrenched the daggers from his arms and let them fall to the leaves below.

"I knew it would end this way you know...."

Porter whirled around and stared into the dusky eyes of Gideon, who stood idly leaning on a nearby tree, arms crossed. He had apparently changed clothes. A large cowboy hat covered his face once more, and a black shirt clung to his lean but powerful frame. Jeans wrapped themselves around his strapping legs, but his feet were bare. He smiled a wickedly toothed smile. Porter advanced.

"It's time for you to come with me." Gideon's eyes opened with amazement.

"Really pup?! I think quite the opposite." He pushed off the tree and stood straight, extending his hands into a massive set of claws, each leathery digit capped by a visciously jagged point. Porter hesitated a moment before extending his claws, preparing for another conflict.

"Hahaha! Keep up if you can pup!" Gideon chuckled, before whirling around and leaping onto the trunk of the tree. He burried his claws into the bark and heaved himself upward and forward into the night air, extending his claws once more to catch the next tree. Within moments, he was out of sight. Porter glanced at the clawmarks in the tree and nodded.

"At least he won't be hard to find." he said. Porter sprinted into the darkness of the woods, ready to end the pursuit.

((i'll let you pick the final location Ports, but remember don't kill him lol

Kathy curled up on the chair and looked at Malachite as he approached her, his large bulky frame cutting off what little light was left emitting from the fireplace.
" where is he? I mean Gabriel, have you got him? " she said quietly her voice barely a whisper and empty now of all emotion, her sire had always warned her not to get close to someone, and now she realised why.

"Alas he escaped,he's not going to be easy to capture, but im sure with your help, that factor can be made a lot easier" his deep raspy voice said as he stood looming above her, his large frame dwarfing her own petite one.

kathy looked over ay Sylvia, her head cocked on one side as her eyes narrowed. Her thoughts drifting to what she knew of their clan.

"miss Belvadere, My time is very valuable, what is it to be? do I have your help or not?"

A smile spread across kathy's lips, her lips parting to reveal her white fangs.
Veangeance on what had being done to her was going to be good.

"Why Malachite," Kathy crooned, "I simply can't BELIEVE you'd ask me to help! I'm honored!" Her voice was saturated in sarcasm, and it read in Malachite's eyes.

"Well Ms. Belvadere..." he said, placing his massive hands on either side of her sitting chair, "you're attitude is most disheartening...yet easily remedied." His lips parted, revealing it's own sickly smile. Even with the purple rays of the sun peering over the horizon, it was painfully evident that Kathy's troubles were only beginning.

**************

Porter temporarily lost sight of the flashing blur as he emerged from the underbrush and found himself standing on concrete. He took cautious steps forward, feral claws glistening with persperation from his jaunt through the forest. Gideon proved to be much quicker than he had first let on, and also seemed to ALLOWING Porter to keep up.

It was all very unnerving.

As the final clouds drifted from in front of the disappearing moon, the landscape was washed over in a blue hue. He stood atop a large dam, several hundred feet tall and completely erected of steel and concrete. Railings lined both sides of the massive structure, which seemed to by about a hundred feet wide.

Porter had heard the water several miles back and could smell the very steam itself as he drew closer. Slowly he moved forward, his heart actually beginning to thump to life in his chest. He gasped as he was thrown forward, the hot sting of torn flesh crying out from his back.

As he leapt to his feet and whirled around to see Gideon smiling.

"Welcome pup....lets get started shall we?"

((it's pure shite but it's a start :/
