Night fell by the time Vincent had reached a Cathedral, Valek really did a number on all religions…Catholic, Jewish or otherwise…they were all erradicated. Vincent was now out of Cascaida and outside Valek's Sphere of influence…He was safe.

"Julius, go home." He began to walk into the church in a trance like state.

"Yes sir." The car began to drive off, but Vincent didn’t notice, he was already inside the church

Heavenly music surrounded Vincent, it soothed his soul. A priest noticed the pallid figure and immediately walked over to him. "Are you…are you alright my son." His face was sincere; he rested his hand on Vincent's shoulder.

"No father. I am not. I must repent for my sins. I must spend time in solitary prayer..." he was bowing his head, never meeting the priests gaze. The priest had a quizzical look on his face.

"I have no idea what it is exactly you have done my son…but I will try to help you. What is it you require?" He priest was gentile, his voice soothing, and he seemed sincere.

"A room with which to pray."

"Ill see what I can do."

The priest led Vincent to a pew and sat him down. He walked away and came back some minutes later.

"Follow me." Vincent rose and did as he was asked. He followed the priest down a set of corridors to a room with a room and a dresser. "Will this do my son?" Vincent nodded.

"Thank you father."

"Should you care to talk about what it is you need to repent for, please do not hesitate." He sounded concerned and nervous…I suppose Vincent would have been too if he were in the same position. Vince nodded and the priest left the room. Vincent knelt at the base of the bed and began to pray. There he stayed for two weeks. Periodically the priest would open the door to check on him, to see if he had committed suicide or not really…but when ever he opened the door he saw that Vincent remained there, still on his knees at the base of the bed, praying.




Two weeks later…


A pallid figure emerged from a room illuminated with the holiest of light. The sound of the hymn of life could be heard within a mile radius. For the priests present it was a truly amazing sight. The priests and nuns all dropped to their knees at the sight of the holy being, who in response raised his hands palms up into the air. "Please rise, I am not worthy to be treated like a sovereign. I am but an immortal childe of Caine, and am not worthy of such praise. I thank you for you hospitality, and it will be repaid tenfold. Now if you'll excuse me I must return to Cascadia…once back inside the lair of the serpent I shall open a church. If any one here feels fit to join me they can."

The priests gasped at the name of Cascadia, it was feared by most religions and thought of as cursed ground. However, two priests stepped forward to join Vincent, one of which was the priest that had lent aid to Vincent.

"Excellent. Then we shall be off." The three stepped outside where Julius was waiting. The three entered the car. " Perfect timing Julius."

"Thanks boss…I'm glad to see we have company." The two priest were smiling, but said nothing.

"Julius take us to the abandoned Cathedral in Cascadia. We will begin reconstruction. Moreover, when we return home have a large check made out to this cathedral. "

"Yes sir."

"I feel superb Julius."

"…That's great Vincent…but how did you know I was about to ask you that?" He sounded amazed. Vincent only smiled.

"Let's go back to Cascadia." The limousine started, and they began to drive, they would be back in Cascadia by early morning.

The red mist had taken hold of the City while Vincent was gone. The people were frantic. Murder rape and riots were occurring on a regular basis. Cascadia was turning into hell…


The black limousine pulled up the boarded up cathedral just before sunrise. The four men got out and walked up to the front of the building. Vincent turned to the other three. "Well? Will this do boys?"

Father O'Brien who was the priest that took Vincent in was the first to reply. "Why yes. It is, now let us please go inside." He was evidently afraid to be on the streets.

"verywell." The four walked to the doors and Vincent forced them ajar. They entered the dark church.

Vincent lit some of the candles that were around. The four looked about the massive building; it had an endless ceiling and an uncountable amount of pane glass windows. It would be a very terrifying place to be if it didn’t radiate with a soothing aura.

Vincent walked to the door and began to speak in Latin, placing a very powerful ward of Evil on the building, allowing nothing with a dark soul to enter without it being first broken. "This is our place, let none bring harm upon it!" he turned to the others. "Tomorrow we rebuild but this night has been long so now we must find the lodging of this fine cathedral."

"I have been here before" Said father Matthews

"Then lead us to it!" Julius shouted. The group turned and followed the priest. Soon they reached the Cathedral and each took a room for their own. Vincent entered his room; graffiti covered the walls, what blasphemy. Vincent laid down and fell deeply into Vampiric Slumber.

Valek was looking at the damage the mist of Ravenna did to those mortals down the streets of Cascadia ( The read mist mentioned earlier , see my thread " Hallowed be thy name " for more details :) ) , the arrival of Ravenna was near , and the fight between light and Darkness was getting closer , with Midian ( Satan ) already set free by the hands of Valek and his Sire Angelica , darkness was slowly taking back its place on this Earth .. This so called " God " would suffer soon ...

As Valek was still looking outside at the Death's caused by his hands , a holy sound could be heard , at the sound of it Valek's ears began to bleed , Valek frowned as this sound was a continuous one , Valek began to speak in Los Demonis and his eyes slowly became white , the look of absolute hatred and anger was glowing in his eyes , with his hate and anger growing bigger at each seconds Valek's voice changed to the one of a Demon , Valek than lat out a HUGE Demonic scream , the sound of it was if like Midian ( Satan ) himself was the one to unleash this scream , the sound of his scream made his way to where the holy sound came from . With Vincent already gone from this Church from where came this holy sound , only a few priests and nuns were remaining inside this Church , the sound of Valek's demonic scream arrived to this Church , making the holy windows explode in pieces , the pews shaked violently , and the statue of Jesus fell on a priest below killing him , the statue began to bleed from its eyes ..

Valek then walked down his dungeon and went to the ritual room , once there Valek smiled evily at the priest that he chained on the wall , Valek than stopped walking as he reached the middle of the room and then began talking in Los Demonis .

The sky spit flames, Armageddon has come , the wrath of Midian ( Satan )descends upon this mortal world , men revert to beasts, suicidal despair for his glory , every mind is clutched in terror , as a vortex of evil surrounds the warlock flames.

I will cut the liar throat ; Christian blood will fall to the ground !

As Valek finished saying the last words , Valek took out his sword and threw it right in the throat of the chained priest , as the first drip of blood fell to the ground a pentagram of fire appeared on the ground , Valek pronounced a few words in Los Demonis that made 3 unholy spirits appear ... Valek looked at them and smiled evily and then said in a Demonic voice

" A sudden holyness took place not so far from Cascadia , find it and destroy it !! Do not dare to fail me , if you do , ill do it myself , and you will regret it for eternity ! "

The 3 spirits were already sensing this holyness , and it only made them more pissed off and hateful each second to have to endure this sudden rise of " holyness " near Cascadia ... The 3 spirits then left the room and were now roaming free in the streets of Cascadia , invisible to the eyes of both Human and Kindred ( beside the one who summon them ) they would not be cought ..

As the 3 unholy spirit finally reached the church outside of Cascadia they noticed a strong holy force in the area , but yet something was missing , the source of it was obviously gone .. The 3 demonic spirits entered this Church and possessed the priests and nuns inside , they killed each other , with axes , chairs , candles , knives , everything that the demons could find to kill the priests and nuns they took and killed them in a painful way ..

In a matter of minutes the demons killed all the priests and nuns inside this church , the floor became a pool of blood .. With all the priests and nuns now dead , the demonic spirits left to go back to Cascadia .

Once back in Cascadia the demonic spirits passed in front of a abandoned church , a church that was once destroyed by the hands of Valek himself , like all the others in Cascadia .. A strange holyness was radiating from this place , as one of the demonic spirit got closer to it some sort of a shield blocked him from entering , the 3 demonic spirits lat out a scream of warning to whom so ever was inside , as if to tell them that Darkness was around them ... The 3 spirits returned to their Master Valek , explaining him the situation ...

Vincent awoke from his sound slumber. He walked through the vast main hall of the Cathedral. The two priests were both hard at work sweeping and cleaning the ravaged corridor. Dried blood stained everything; Vincent could help but wonder if the stains would ever dissipate.

"Good Evening Fathers."

"Good evening" they replied.

"Will we be needing anything?" He examined the windows; this was probably the only holy place left with its windows intact.

"Yes." Father O'Brien looked up from his work. "I have made a list of supplies and tools we will be needing. " he handed it to Vincent who placed it into his pocket without looking at it.

"Yes, you will have it by the morning, please if you need anything…" he reached into his coat and removed a card. " Call my Cell. It isn't safe for you outside. However, I assure you that you are safe in here. "

"Thank you…" father O'Brien went back to his work.

"But how can you be sure?" Brother Edwards stepped forward; he was obviously seriously scared.

"I understand that you are afraid…and you should be…only a fool fears nothing…but you must be brave, and have strength. Use god as your crutch, he listens and wont let harm come to you until it is your time. "

"So your not sure?!"

Vincent laughed "don’t worry Brother Edwards, you'll be safe." With that Vincent turned and began the long walk to the door.

Vincent hands Julius the list the priest gave him. "Julius my old friend, can you go shopping for me?"

"Sure thing boss." He looks at the list. "God damn! This is going to take me all night."

"I know." The two laughed although Julius only laughed because Vince did.

Julius dropped Vincent off at home before setting out to shop…

"Brother Edward, calm down, Vincent Said we are safe so long as we do not leave."

"I hope your right…"

Dawn approached quickly and Vincent and his companion arrived bak at the church, with a truck full of supplies, the two unloaded the truck and carted it all inside...

The 3 demonic spirits were talking in Los Demonis , the were telling their Master Valek everything they did in details and they as well explained everything they saw ... Valek smirked not believing that someone was foolish enough to even TRY to bring back a church that he once destroyed amongst the many others ...

Valek smiled evily as he remembered the meeting between him and Vincent Locke , even if this Vincent was a member of the clan of Death , he had what Valek hated the most ... the " Holy " side ... Valek then said

" Recently only one i know could be foolish enough to even try to bring back an old fucking church ... And if this someone is named Vincent Locke ... he will be one of the many to feel my wrath ... IF it is him ... NO ONE opens a DAMN business in MY city without telling me , escpecially NOT a fucking church ... "

The 3 spirits were still in front of Valek , waiting ...

- Valek - " Go and make sure of who opened this church ... cause chaos all around this place , let them know that we are around ... if they dont go away by themselves , ill go take care of it myself ... "

The 3 demonic spirits left Valek's haven in direction of this church ...

In front of the church was standing a few civilians , they looked in amazement (sp) at the church getting repared slowly , for the Cascadia humans havent saw a church in so many years , every churches disapeared in Cascadia as soon as Valek stepped up to the throne ... Needless to say Valek made sure that nothing holy would step in his city .. The 3 demonic spirits arrived in front of the church , noticing the humans gathered around the place they took possession of some of them , 3 humans turned into vile demons and started to kill EVERYTHING in sight ...

Inside the Cathedral Vincent could hear a commotion. Quickly he rushed out to see what it was. The sight both startled and scared him, but he knew he must put the fear behind him. One of the priests approached the door. "GO BACK INSIDE, DO NOT COME OUT HERE!" the priest did, as he was told, anything that could scare this man must be bad, the priest thought.

Quickly Vincent spoke in Latin a ward against evil. He moved towards the demons "Leave this place at once! You do not belong here!" He noticed right away that they slaughtered innocent bystanders, Vincent could not allow this to continue. Vincent removed from his hidden sleeve pocket a throwing star and quickly let it fly. It spun to its target--the demon's forehead. The demon screamed and fell to the ground; the star was coated in the holiest waters from the Vatican. Two more stars flew towards the other beast, but he swatted them out of the air and began to flee. Vincent began to take chase, but realized he needed to protect the others. "AND DON’T COMEBACK!"

He noticed two kine were still alive, although terrified and wounded. He walked to them and lent his hands to help them up. "Come inside, we will heal your wounds and then ill escort you home. "
Both kine took his hand. His voice was so comforting and soothing. The one kine female thought he was Jesus, Vincent caught this thought. "No miss, I am just a servant of his all mighty lord." To which he smiled.

As they entered the church, father O'Brien and Brother Edwards hurried over. "Is everything all right!?" Father O'Brien Exclaimed.
"Yes…everything is fine, please take these two to the back and heal their wounds."
"Excuse me…but what wounds?" Brother Edwards noticed while examining the two. The man examined his blood stained and torn clothing.
"I had a gash across my chest…its healed!"
"My wounds have healed too!" the pair was amazed and shocked. Had this man healed them with a touch?
"Well then, shall I escort you home then?" The two nodded. He hoped to be quick about bringing them home. The limousine pulled off; hopefully he would be back in twenty minutes.
