Just off the end of the alley Daisy spotted what looked like an abandoned building with a few windows broken out, the glass of wich laid at her feet. Its as good a place as any she thought to herself. Knowing that she would need to find shelter before dawn. Again she sniffed at the air still smelling the scent of kindred heavy in the air and close by. She took a look over her shoulder finding it odd that the scent would be so strong but she had yet to see any kindred. She stepped inside of the building in search of a safe haven.

((as much as i hate restricting the flow of storys in any of my threads but regretably in this instance im goanna haveta!

[color=white:b690ab41ee]"and a short vampire who had been around the age of 80 at the time of his embrace. He wore a ceremonial robe and stood before a large book that was propped up on a stone stand. The words written in an ancient language long forgotten." [/color:b690ab41ee]

So this kinda messes up the whole reading of the book. Secondly the ancient priest is beyond clutching at an individual hed just have to look at them and poof!

and sorry matt but Mark was hit by something and hes not meant to get back up and fight again lol.

so for now im resuming the post back to where mark got struck by a magical attack and is now unconcsiousio! lol

Daisy wandered the first floor of the building looking for a basement doorway. It was dark and musty. She still had no idea why she had come back here. Of all the places to go she ended up in the one place she swore she would never return to. Once her eyes adjusted to the pitch darkness she saw a door way that had a small picture of a stairway on it. As she pushed it open it groaned and creakedbut just as she had hoped, there were stairs leading down deeper into the building. At the bottom of the stairs was a small hallway wich lead to a room wich looked like it had once been used for storage. There were a couple of closed doors on the far wall wich Daisy assumed were used for extra storage space. She crossed the room and opened the first door. She was suprised to see a room that looked it had been used as an office or a den. There were old dusty book shelves and a desk that looked as if it would crumble to dust if you looked at it to hard. She walked over to examine the few old books that still adorned the shelves. She reached up to pull out a book, as she grabed the book she heard a creaking off to her right. She turned quickly thinking she had been discovered but there was no one there. Instead a small portion of the wall had opened up and revealed a door. Daisy moved across the room to the door, her curiosity getting the best of her, she pushed it open and stepped inside.
Daisys eyes widened in horror. Scattered around the room were bodies and body parts some of wich she could tell right away were kindred others looked to be knights. There was blood splattered on the walls and pools all over the floor. In the center of the room was what looked like a tomb the top was off and smashed in the floor. Near the front of the room was a podium. Daisy walked carefuly to it and saw a book laying open...the pages were blank as if it had been written in disapearing ink. She then spotted something glimmering on the ground, She reached down and picked it up. It was a gold chain with a Malkavian symbol charm. Her eyes turned a yellowish color her pupils dialated and she let out a small glutteral growl. She knew the necklace well. She had given it to Mark years earlier when she had asked him to take her place as Primogen.

They swept through the deteorating apartment building with not so much as a sound, barely even disturbing the very dust which coated the floors. As the small group of Ventrue made their way up the rickedy wooden stairs which led to Mark Archer's known haven, the tallest figure took the lead. His dominating form gave him a somber appearance.

His face was ashen and nordic, thick powerful features planted on a thin visage. His hair was pulled back tightly into a ponytail and trailed behind him as he ascended the stairs. Gabriel was dressed for battle tonight, as he had been the past week. Although he retained his finely tailored Italian suit, he wore a heavy overcoat, even in the dead of summer. The days had been scorching, but to the Kindred, the nights were muggy and suffocating.

Finally the coterie reached their desired floor, the walls wooden and ancient. The long hallway, with it's beaten and foot worn carpet, stretched for yards before disappearing around a tight corner. The pale lighting flickered feebly, casting eerie, unnerving shadows across the walls. Gabriel motioned for his three companions to follow.

Wordlessly, the quartet approached the corner door at the end of the hallway. The thin wooden door was streaked with violent nail marks, and Gabriel's Ventrue nose could faintly detect a hint of blood from the rooms beyond. His eyes glistened in the white light as he gave his henchman the order. The largest of the three approached the door and knocked.

For a moment the group stood in inclusive silence, devoid of movement or sound. Their dead corpses did not even offer the simple comfort of breathing. Then, from within the apartment, stirring. Metallic 'clicks' and 'clacks' drifted through the door as the occupant unlatched the various locks.

"Malkavians...." one of the Ventrue muttered, obviously unimpressed at Mark Archer's apparent level of paranoia. The door creaked open, and Gabriel stood back, just out of view.

((forgive this liberty i've taken Mark, i'm just inserting a ghoul into your haven))

Two beady eyes appeared from the cracked doorway. The chains were still clearly in place. Examining the pair of eyes, it was obvious they did not belong to the Malkavian they sought.

"Wh...who's there? What do you want? Go away! The master will be displeased!! Horrible things....horrible things...." the ghoul wailed through the cracked doorway. Gabriel's goon stepped closer to the door, causing it to immediately be slammed in his face.

"It's your Seneschal," he growled, careful not to speak too loudly, "we demand entrance into your master's haven."

"No no...that will not do...the master...the master..." the voice trailed off as he scurried to the other side of the room. Gabriel's lead henchman glanced at him inquisitively. Gabriel simply nodded and watched as the henchmen wrought back one fist and slammed it into the feeble door. The sound of splintering wood filled the hall as the door dimpled under the Ventrue's attack. Metal chains snapped and launched into the air, glittering in the hallway's light, the door itself nearly flying off it's hinges.

The four Ventrue moved into the darkened room, the smell of dust and deprevities nearly overwhelming them. It was nearly devoid of all furniture, a thick layer of filth coating the floors. It had been abandoned some time ago, a mere ghoul left for protection. The ghoul was hunched in the corner, eyeing the intruders hysterically.

"Whhaaat??!!!" he shrieked, covering his face with his hands. Gabriel strode over and gripped his collar in one hand, and placed his free palm over the ghoul's mouth. The man was small and pudgy, his balding brown hair hanging in his eyes in clumps. Gabriel stared into his eyes for only moments before letting him go.

Backing up several feet, Gabriel glanced at the ghoul once more. The ghoul shuddered for a moment before slumping over to the floor, his mind easily and efficiently overwhelmed by Gabriel powers. The Ventrue Gerousia spun around, striding out of the apartment, his henchmen in tow.

"Take notes boys, you don't always have to kill them..." his right hand man scurried to his side, meeting his stride.

"What did you learn?" he asked, referring to Gabriel's mind scan.

"He didn't know details, but Mark Archer's involved in something dark, we've got to investigate. Let the Prince know immediately." he said as he approached the stairways once more. They travelled in silence the rest of the flights, before emerging into the night air. At the curb, Gabriel sleek black limousine sat waiting, it's engine purring softly. The coterie stepped in. The driver, Fredrick's recent replacement, turned around.

"Where to Mr. O'Brien?" he asked. Gabriel sat in the back seat, pushing the clips into a glistening pair of Desert Eagles. He thrust the large pistols into two shoulder straps concealed beneath his overcoat. He sat forward to be heard over the snapping of cartridges into automatic weapons as his goons prepared for possible combat.

"Apparently Mr. Archer has a secondary haven. Follow my directions."

((i'm on me waaay!!! :)

"Goodbye To You"

Of all the things I believe in
I just want to get it over with
tears from behind my eyes
but I do not cry
Counting the days that past me by

I've been searching deep down in my soul
Words that I'm hearing are starting to get old
Looks like I'm starting all over again
The last three years were just pretend and I say

Goodbye to you
Goodbye to everything I thought I knew
You were the one I love
The one thing that I tried to hold on to

I still get lost in your eyes
And it seems like I can't live a day without you
Closing my eyes till you chase my thoughts away
To a place where I am blinded by the light but it's not right

Goodbye to you
Goodbye to everything I thought I knew
You were the one I loved
The one thing that I tried to hold on to

Ohhh yeah
It hurts to want everything & nothing at the same time
I want whats yours and I want whats mine
I want you but I'm not giving in this time

Goodbye to you
Goodbye to everything I thought I knew
You were the one I loved
The one thing that I tried to hold on to
The one thing that I tried to hold on to

Goodbye to you
Goodbye to everything I thought I knew
You were the one I loved
The one thing that I tried to hold on to

We the stars fall and I lie awake
Your my shooting star

Mark Stirred softly as he lay in the damp musky alley. His eyes were clenched closed; the thin skin of his eyelids unable to protect him from the harsh bright light shining against his unaccustomed eyes. A fine layer of sweat covered Mark’s arms and face, tired moans escaping his mouth as his chest rose and fell to the beat of his heart.

His fingers on his left hand twitched as a gentle cold brush of air breezed over the fine hairs along the smooth tanned skin of his forearm; the tingling sensation running through his body causing him to uncontrollably shiver.

The palm of his moist right hand glided over the rough stubble covering the side of his face and up into the mess of his dirt filled hair. His hand came back down to rest on his chest that moved with his shallow breaths.

Mark sat up quickly startled and abruptly pulled out of his sleep to the sound of a crashing trash can lid caused by a black feline hopping across the alley hunting its prey.
Sitting up sharply Mark’s bare eyes looked up into brightly burning sun shining in the crystal clear sky. Covering his face Mark screamed in horror at the one thing he’s had to fear for over two-hundred years of his life.

As he slowly moved his hands away from his face he soon adjusted to a world long forgotten to him. As his eyes scanned along the alley he began to feel a little dizzy. His limbs were beginning to turn numb. A heavy feeling filled his chest like a crushing sensation as if he were being suffocated.

Mark began to choke coughing loudly as he forced a deep breath of air down into his lungs. Breathing a once natural and autonomous action now a feat that required great concentration creating heavy laboured breaths.

The over sensitive tips of his fingers explored the contours of his face before his attention darted to a figure walking passed the end of the alley. Getting up Mark got to his feet and moved towards the exit of the alley where he peered around. As another man walked past of a similar build Mark grabbed him and spun him around into the alley where his fist made contact with the side of the man’s face.

The man fell to the floor as mark gripped his right fist in agony. Wincing in pain he cradled it in his other hand. A read vibrant colour appeared around the knuckles. Standing beside the man mark began to rummage through his pockets.

Daisy reached out her hand and lightly touched the necklace with the tips of her fingers as she mouthed the word Mark. It had been ages since she had seen him, ages since she had seen anyone she had once known. She looked up and looked over the room once more checking to make sure Mark wasnt one of the kindred that lay in pieces. When she was sure Mark was not amoung them she grabed the necklace. The moment her hand closed around it, the remaining piece of the toms lid slid off onto the floor with a loud crash. Daisy jumped dropping her back pack that was clutched in her other hand and began to run for the door. In her panic she lost her footing tripping over one of the many bodies. She fell to the floor skidding across a pool of blood that lay there. She scrambles to her feet covered on the mess and lunged for the door nob. She raced through the next room and down the hallway, not stopping till she was back in the alley. This caused a new panic to rise with in her. She was outside and the sun was shinning brightly in the sky. She knew she was safe for a limited time only and this was only because she still wore the black cloak. She ran down the alley in search of a place to hide from the rays of sun that she knew would eventualy find their way through the cloak, knowing she didnt have much time.
