Batgirl returned to Cain's haven to rest during the daylight hours. The conversation she had with Damien was still fresh in her mind.

Was it true that Chaz had told Damien that the Cappa's planned to control the city?? Surely Chaz wouldn't have said such a thing but Damien seemed so genuine. He even went on to say that Chaz had turned his back on his clan and that his own childe might possibly have followed him. Batgirl suggested a meeting between herself, Chaz and Damien would be wise, there were several things that needed to be brought out openly in order for their truce to be successful.

Batgirl shook her head as if trying to shake away the thoughts but it didn't work.

The truce. Batgirl sighed as she recalled Damien's promise to her. He said he would lay off from Valek, and Rofellos to an extent provided Rof showed him more respect. Rofellos was to be married soon, Batgirl believed his bride would certainly settle him down a little but only time would tell.

As she placed her things on her desk in the back room of the Assamite haven, another thought came to her. Sabbat! Batgirl trusted Cain, she had known him for so long, she was sure he was not involved in the Sabbat. The relationship between his sire Boh Walker and Sorenti's sire Morkalov wouldn't allow it.

She shrugged the thoughts away just as Cain appeared at the door...
