I started playing and first met some of you when Dialup was all there was.
I started playing Vampire whit my daughter on my knee and had to do some horse trading to get an old PC for her so she would climb off my lap when I was gaming.
now she is almost drinking age. and I have 2 more kids.
ive switched jobs 4 times. but I still know my USER NAME and PW for this site.

I started playing VTM when I still lived at my mom's house. Before I had gone to college and had only just met my wife.
I was 19 and years away from marriage, home ownership, a career and kids. Now I have an almost 5 year old and another on the way.

just for fun i looked up VAMPIRE on STEAM.
its there, but the online section doesn't work. so no point in playing it.
online was the best part.

I've played Redemption a few times over the years, primarily for nostalgia purposes. But as you pointed out the online component was the primary appeal. Now whenever I play it, I tend to just go GOD MODE through the whole thing.
Still fun seeing Christof and the gang. Simpler times.

I first encountered vampire in a school based tabletop session but didn't fall in love with it until the game came out. I was ummm 24ish? Single. Depressed. And cripplingly lonely 😕
I'm now nearly 44. Been married 8yrs nearly. Have 2 boys, oldest is 6 youngest is 3.7 and pretty much where I want to be in life, though a new job would be nice.

It can be persuaded to play online given a bit of technical knowledge. You need to set up a VPN so everyone is on the same network, then you can play it as a LAN game.
It's not entirely straightforward, but it is quite possible to achieve.
