half the year has gone.
its almost my birthday. getting ready for a big party.

looking forward to going to Osage Bike week in September.
then South Padre Island in early October. we won a week down there at a charity auction.

My daughter who used to pound on the keys while i played Vampire is shopping for a house to buy..
my middle son just joined a band.

my youngest with Down sysdrome is dancing in the livingroom right now singing loudly off key, and having fun.

Yes, we're certainly a long ways from the days of sitting in my parents study attending guild meetings. Few more years and my oldest will be the same age I was around that time. I think being of the age where we had one foot in the analog realm and one in the digital gives one a sense of warped perspective. I've always viewed my life as bisected, pre-internet and post. And for some reason, post-internet exists in my mind as 'recent'. So despite the turn of the century being nearly twenty-five years ago, it occupies the same headspace as five years ago does.

Tough to imagine my introduction to SoC was nearly a quarter of a century ago.
